"Tahoe is known for delivering what customers want when they want to do - a well-earned reputation reflected in countless independent quality studies, buying guide recommendations and customers who have returned to buy another vehicle," said Ed Peper, Chevrolet general manager. "The '07 model enhances the attributes that have made Tahoe the industry's best-selling full-size SUV and improves significantly with the utmost attention to detail in smoothness, quietness and refinement. We believe it is simply the best Tahoe yet.
Superior race, handling and silence

In 2007 Tahoe is built on GM's new full-size SUV platform that incorporates features such as a new fully boxed frame, front suspension coil-over-shock, rack and pinion steering and an all-new premium interior that improve the comfort of the car, the quality and capacity. Wider front and rear tracks, enhance handling and low center of gravity for a road feel more secure.

Great attention to detail paid by Tahoe technicians to ensure quiet driving experience. We start with a new stiffer chassis, reducing vibration and the cabin. The strength and accuracy of full-box frame also enable more precise mounting and tuning of chassis and suspension components, which also helps reduce vibration. Even a tire big wheel standard 20 inch by 17 inch available are designed to reduce noise.

Noise reduction of components and materials are used in the body structure, including equipment pavilion door seals and front of the dashboard area. The engine is also equipped with an alternator silent listening and an acoustically tuned engine cover that dramatically reduces engine noise heard inside the car. New door seals help reduce seal "away" at highway speeds, which can cause wind noise. Also form more slippery Tahoe, through improved aerodynamics, streamlined exterior mirrors and roof rack, and tighter tolerances gap body, makes Tahoe quieter as it slices through the air.

Tahoe also has details such as spray expanding foam, which helps to reduce noise, filling the space to remove the paths of sound. Foam, which is found primarily in the A-pillars, expands to fill the space. Quietness and smoothness is complemented Tahoe Autoride suspension, which is standard on LTZ. This segment-exclusive bi-state, real-time damping provides a tour of highly refined body movement significantly reduced. The system consists of semi-active control of two-position damping control, which responds in real time to road and driving conditions based on body and wheel motion sensors.

Tranquility and flow properties Tahoe full-size SUV customers completely depend. Tahoe offers up to 7700 pounds (3492 kg) towing capability (4WD models).

Increased efficiency of

A new Gen IV small-block V-8 family - the latest chapter 50, the small-block history - offers more power than comparable powertrains in previous models. The fuel economy of movement in demand technology also enables better fuel economy. When combined with other features of the entire vehicle, including improved aerodynamics, the small block V-8 helps give the Tahoe the segment-leading fuel economy. Preliminary tests with models equipped with 5.3 shows adjusted combined fuel consumption ratings of 20.5 mpg with 2WD models and 20.1 mpg in 4WD models. This is a better fuel economy than any other full-size SUV.

New engine choices allow consumers to choose the level of performance that meets your needs. A Vortec 5.3L V-8 with 320 horsepower (238 kW) and 335 lb.-ft. of torque (463 Nm) offers fuel economy of movement in demand for technology is standard at start of production. A 4.8L Vortec V-8 will be available later and will be standard on Tahoe 2WD models.

More steeply raked windshield and smoother roofline improve the aerodynamics of Tahoe, which is best-in-class 0.363 cd, which enhances fuel economy on the road. Other supporters of the yield is lower, wider front spoiler, tighter tolerances, and differences in swaddling clothes, lamps and grille openings, and to improve the front-end sealing that nearly eliminates air leak paths. These properties are influenced by all to improve fuel economy and smooth driving improved over previous models.

"The economics of the new Tahoe is tremendous," said Gary White, GM North America vice president and vehicle line of full size vans. "It not only provides better fuel economy than some smaller vehicles, it does so with full design capacity of a full-size SUV. This means you can tow a boat to his favorite lake for the weekend and bring children to school during the week without having to worry about - this is another personality trait Tahoe to do anything. "
