Picture: McLaren MP4-12C Go Racing
McLaren officially set its plans to bring back the McLaren name to GT sports cars racing. On 2012, McLaren and CRS Racing will provide and support a partial number of GT3 racing cars based on the McLaren MP4-12C high-performance sports car for European-based privateers.
It was 15 years from the time when the McLaren F1 GTR distinctively won the world-famous 24 Heures du Mans (Le Mans) on its debut, and 12 years since six ‘Longtails’ last raced at Le Mans, McLaren and CRS Racing, a victorious and skilled UK-based racing team, have begun improvement work aimed at turning the 12C road car into a race-winning GT3 sports car. As part of the development program, McLaren and CRS Racing will compete at a limited number of European GT races in 2011.
With the 12C’s revolutionary lightweight one-piece molded carbon chassis (the ‘MonoCell’), its high levels of down force and aerodynamic performance, and its focus on form and function, the 12C should prove to be a great platform on which to develop a racing car, as well as visually setting pulses racing at European race tracks.

2010 Lancia Stratos Concept |
The contemporary New Stratos is a non-commercial project by Michael Stoschek and his son Maximilian Stoschek. Together, they played a fundamental role in determining the technical concept and design of the one-off vehicle. Construction of the car has been underway since autumn 2008, at Pininfarina in Turin, Italy.
Michael Stoschek is chairman of the Brose Group. Brose is the fifth-largest family-owned company among global automotive suppliers.
A keen sportsman, Stoschek won the Carrera Panamericana in 1999, 2001 and 2004, and the 2006 FIA European Rally Championship, driving a 1971 Porsche 911 in both races. The Lancia Stratos Group 4 has a special place amongst the historic rally cars that Stoschek employs for rallies and hillclimbing. Sporting a Marlboro design, the vehicle has been restored over more than a decade, according to the specifications of the 1974 Tour de Corse Andruet/Biche works car.
The decision to develop and build a new, ready-to-run Stratos was inspired by a meeting with Chris Hrabalek, with whom Michael Stoschek became acquainted at the 1986 World Stratos meeting organized in Alta Badia by Stoschek. This was also the impetus behind Stoschek's involvement in the Fenomenon Stratos project, presented at the 2005 Geneva Motor Show, as well as his co-acquisition of the Stratos trademark rights.
In September 2008, Michael and his son Maximilian Stoschek commissioned Pininfarina to build a one-off vehicle. Currently, the New Stratos is one of a kind. Michael and Maximilian Stoschek hold all rights to the vehicle as well as ownership of the tools. Production of an exclusive, limited run under their license is planned.

2012 Brabus Mercedes-Benz SLS AMG wallpapers
2012 Brabus Mercedes-Benz SLS AMG front
Despite the wheels' bigger size they deliver a weight reduction of up to 12 percent compared to the SLS production wheels. The reduced unsprung weight further results in even more agile handling. Brabus technology partners Pirelli and Yokohama supply the optimal high-performance tires in sizes 275/30 ZR 20 and 295/25 ZR 21.
The wide version is rounded out by aerodynamic-enhancement components developed in the wind tunnel. All Brabus aerodynamic-enhancement components are made from carbon fibers and are available with a matte or glossy clear-coated finish for a true racing look. Optionally these components can be painted in body or contrasting color.
To further reduce lift on front and rear axle Brabus equips the SLS with a front spoiler for the production front fascia, a rear spoiler and a rear diffuser. Together these components create an even better aerodynamic balance. Two Brabus covers for the upper air dams of the bumper and side air outlets for the rear fascia are further visual details of the Brabus Widestar version.
The work of the Brabus designers also gives the sides of the gullwing more profile and further improved aerodynamic efficiency. The rocker panels were sculpted to optimize the airflow between front and rear axle and to create a perfect transition to the Widestar components on the rear axle. Integrated entrance lights ensure safe entering and exiting of the vehicle in the dark.
The Brabus air outlets for the front fenders add more of sporty touches. At night they draw attention with their integrated blue-illuminated Brabus logos that are activated via the keyless fob or by pulling on a door handle.
The ride-height lowering by up to 30 millimeters (1.2 inches) also plays an important role in the striking appearance of the Brabus-modified SLS. The Brabus suspension is height-adjustable and was developed in cooperation with technology partner Bilstein. At the push of a button its integrated Ride Control function also offers a smoother ride than the production car. From the cockpit the driver can at any time - even while driving - switch between damper settings that offer a more comfortable or a sportier ride than the production car.
For sporty-minded SLS owners Brabus offers stiffer sway bars for front and rear axle that reduce body roll for even more precise handling.
The Brabus high-performance exhaust system with four slanted exhaust tips with diameters of 84 millimeters (3.3 inches) is somewhat atypical for traditional tuning. Its sound management, controlled by the driver and activated by a pneumatic flap, includes a 'coming home' setting that is quieter than the production exhaust. In 'sport' mode the 6.3-liter eight-cylinder engine produces an even more powerful exhaust note than with the production exhaust. The Brabus exhaust system is manufactured from extremely lightweight titanium and weighs 12 kilograms (26 lbs.) or 40 percent less than the production exhaust. Another welcome by-product of this exhaust is an increase in power output by 10 hp / 7.4 kW.
Brabus offers a multitude of exclusive custom interior options for the two-seater car as well. Carbon-fiber inlays in any desired color and matte anodized aluminum pedals and foot rest add sporty highlights.
The ergonomically shaped sport steering wheel is made from a combination of leather and Alcantara and provides especially good grip for further improved road feedback. The speedometer with 400 km/h scale (250 mph) already hints at the car's future performance with Brabus engine tuning.
The Brabus upholstery shop offers a sheer endless multitude of colors and designs for the masterfully crafted SLS interiors made from the finest leathers and Alcantara. These interiors can be custom-tailored to suit each SLS owner's personal taste down to the last detail.

Characteristic engine sound accompanying the dynamic surge of power.
The modified six-cylinder also comes with special features on the engine block itself in the interest of even greater strength and stiffness. The exhaust system of the BMW Z4 sDrive35is, in turn, has been developed specifically for this model, appropriate sound engineering giving the car a very characteristic and truly impressive sound pattern.
This particular distinction tailored to the BMW Z4 sDrive35is is ensured by special sound flaps and modifications on the silencers. The driver and passenger therefore experience powerful acoustic feedback to their wish for performance, without the sound of the engine becoming obtrusive, let alone annoying, at any time. So the sound experience is characterised by a particularly deep rumble with the focus above all on the low frequency range.
Seven-speed Sport Automatic with a special control map and an optimised two-mass flywheel.
The seven-speed Sport Automatic with double clutch operation featured in the BMW Z4 sDrive35is likewise offers the very best in driving dynamics and efficiency. A particular highlight in this case is the two-mass flywheel laid out particularly for an even higher level of power and performance, offering even greater strength and stability and naturally handling high engine torque of up to 500 Newton-metres or 369 lb-ft without the slightest problem.
The seven-speed Sport Automatic with double clutch operation shifts gears without the slightest interruption of torque and engine power, offering the driver the choice of an automatic gearshift or the manual selection of gears. The fast and particularly smooth change of gears ensures unusually harmonious acceleration and serves in addition to reduce both fuel consumption and emissions.
The control map on the seven-speed Sport Automatic transmission with double clutch has naturally been tailored to the particular power and performance of the engine, thus further enhancing the superior sportiness of the BMW Z4 sDrive35is to an even higher level. Particularly when shifting gears manually and in conjunction with the SPORT and SPORT+ modes of Dynamic Driving Control, the transmission offers a most dynamic experience through modified gearshift points, optimised selection of gears and an even greater increase in torque before shifting.
Sport Automatic also comes with a Launch Control function for maximum performance when accelerating from a standstill.
The Sport Automatic transmission is controlled and masterminded by an electronic gear selector on the centre console and comes with gearshift paddles on the steering wheel.
Featured as standard on the BMW Z4 sDrive35is: M Sports Package and adaptive M Suspension.
The BMW Z4 sDrive35is also comes as standard with an M Sports Package including the M Aerodynamics Package and adaptive M Suspension featuring electronically controlled dampers for even greater agility without making any concessions in terms of comfort. The M Sports Package underlines the dynamic character of the car through its aerodynamically optimised exterior features and customised interior design. Special 18-inch light-alloy rims in five-spoke design combined with tyres of different size front and rear round off the sporting character of the BMW Z4 sDrive35is, with 19-inch light-alloy rims available an option.
The adaptive M Suspension lowers the entire car by 10 millimetres or almost 0.4", ensuring a quick reaction to sudden steering manoeuvres and superior precision when entering a bend thanks to four continuously adjustable twin-sleeve gas-pressure dampers with interacting adjustment of the inbound and rebound strokes. The central control unit processing data delivered by three accelerometers and adjusting the four dampers independently of one another enables the suspension to respond very quickly to even the slightest change in driving and road conditions. Damper harshness, in turn, is adjusted by externally fitted valves controlling the flow of damper fluid, giving the dampers either a harder or softer set-up in accordance with current conditions and driving requirements. Reaction time of the system is extremely short, with the rear dampers being adjusted immediately as soon as the front wheels run over a hole or bump in the road.
Electric Power Steering on the BMW Z4 sDrive35is features a particularly sporting and dynamic control map, with the focus on intense and clear feedback to the driver through the dosage of power assistance provided by the electric motor. Again, this enables the driver to enter bends with extreme precision at all engine speeds in the interest of enhanced performance.
M Sports Package offering a most direct experience of the car's dynamic potential - and available as an option also on the other models in the range.
The exterior and interior features of the M Sports Package coming as standard on the BMW Z4 sDrive35is raises the dynamic driving potential of the car to an even higher level and clearly presents the particular qualities of this model through its looks alone.
Upon introduction of the new top model in the range, the M Sports Package is also becoming available as an option on the other versions of BMW's unique Roadster. The only difference is that instead of the wheels exclusive to the BMW Z4 sDrive35is, the other models come with 18-inch M light-alloy wheels on the M Sports Package.
The particular exterior features on the BMW Z4 sDrive35is include a striking front bumper with a horizontal trim bar in the outer air intakes finished in matt aluminium, like the bars in the BMW kidney grille. The slightly twisted contours of these trim bars take up the spoke design of the light-alloy rims as a further sign of distinction.
The rear bumper comes with specially accentuated surrounds on the exhaust tailpipes as well as a two-piece diffuser again created specifically for the BMW Z4 sDrive35is, finished at the top in body colour and featuring a black grained surface at the bottom. The M Aerodynamics Package included in the optional M Sports Package also on the other versions of the BMW Z4 Roadster furthermore comes with a rear bumper insert in Anthracite metallic.
Inside the BMW Z4 sDrive35is, the driving experience is enhanced to an even higher standard by features such as the M leather steering wheel with its gearshift paddles, an M footrest and sports seats. The instrument cluster comes with grey faces on the dials and the "sDrive35is" model designation in the instrument cluster.
Further features inside the BMW Z4 sDrive35is are the Anthracite-coloured BMW Individual roof lining, M entry strips, footmats with coloured piping and the "sDrive35is" model designation, as well as M interior trim in Aluminium carbon.
The M Sports Package on the other versions of the BMW Z4 Roadster includes an M gearshift lever knob in leather on the manual gearbox models. At the same time the range of leather upholstery is being further enhanced by an additional colour variant marking the launch of the BMW Z4 sDrive35is: Both the top model and all other versions of the BMW Z4 Roadster are now also available in Kansas Walnut leather as yet a further option.
The BMW Z4 sDrive35is comes with a choice of six paintwork colours. In addition to Alpine White and the metallic colours Titanium Silver, Sapphire Black, Space Grey and Deep Sea Blue, the BMW Z4 Roadster is now available for the first time in Melbourne Red metallic.
Regardless of the colour chosen, the exterior mirror caps on the BMW Z4 sDrive35is always come in Oxide Silver. Another optical feature on the top model, finally, is the "sDrive35is" model designation on the front side panels.

Each Series 51 Flying Spur is instantly recognisable - most notably in the cabin area - where the colour and trim team has created a wide selection of three-tone interiors demonstrating the full potential of the company's vast colour palette."
For Series 51 designs, the Bentley styling team operates on a 'rule of three' principle to create complex but harmonising colour schemes of depth and beauty, inspired by a customer's simple choice of three contrasting colours. With luxurious wood veneers and leather hides as the main canvas, the colour and trim specialists begin with a main interior colour (typically a darker shade) and then select a second insert colour to provide an eye-catching contrast. A critical skill is identifying the third 'accent' colour for the stitching and piping.
The selection of wood veneers or aluminium panels for the dashboard either complements the overall look or provides even greater contrast if the customer so desires.
Bentley has reserved the limited-edition Sapelli Pomelle veneer (which provides a rare, naturally occurring quilted effect in the wood) for the Series 51 Flying Spur and a range of further options, including Bentley's leather trimmed child seat and scatter cushions for the rear seats, may also be specified to further complement the exclusive design.
Whilst the 14 options for the Series 51 Flying Spur provide customers with the opportunity to select some of Bentley's most eye-catching design work, the colour and trim team is also more than happy to create even more bespoke designs, knowing they have only shown a fraction of the possibilities, as Melinda-June Jenkins explains:
"One of the most exciting aspects of the Series 51 designs is the feedback from Bentley customers and their desire to explore further what we can offer. Series 51 provides just a starting point and now we are creating designs which make an even stronger and more personal statement."

Kevin Durant's GMC Van Video
Kevin Durant, one of the best NBA player most people not at all are getting to see, drives his extra long conversion van 10 minutes from his house in the bounds of Oklahoma City to the Thunder's practice facility, which if not precisely in the middle of nowhere is at least on its border.
He passes wilting power lines and inoperative oil derricks and enormous fields of delicate yellow grass pocked with snow before turning onto a two-lane road and, just past the John Deere factory, pulling into the parking lot of the practice center, a converted roller rink. Unfolding his 6'9" frame from the van, Durant ambles past the strange rabbit lounge in the bushes and enters the gym for another day of work.

Michael Jordan's $430,000 Mercedes McLaren For Sale?
Michael Jordan has bought a 2007 Mercedes McLaren SLR 722. It is said that it is one of the best cars that was made. But as of now, he's selling it after only driving it 962 miles? The McLaren can be yours for $430,000, which is a little precious for that brand even if the wheels were spun for fewer than a thousand miles (considering it cost around $475,000 new). The sellers are clearly factoring in the whole "Michael Jordan owned this car" addition.
